Check the idea
SHE-E-O is a podcast-led media platform for women who want to start a business but do not know anyone who has.
I built it in five steps. I started with the gap: only one in five UK companies is founded by a woman, and the barriers are mentoring and confidence, not ideas. I defined the audience from there, women aged 20 to 28. I shaped the format around that person, founder interviews plus episodes with psychologists on mindset. I chose the business model before the features, keeping it free to listen so reach became the asset and revenue could sit on top of it. Then I designed and launched the five-page website.
What I learned: decide who it is for before you decide what it looks like, and be able to defend every design choice. Five nav items, one call to action per screen, the page inverting to black at signup. All of it has a reason.
