Shortly

I always felt I needed to understand the world to report on it. To me, real journalism requires high expectations and unusual experiences. This led me to study abroad twice - in England and in Israel.

Bachelor's in Journalism and Media Studies

My training combined newsroom craft with the theory behind it: how audiences form, what media law permits, and where the ethical lines sit.

I also built a regional specialisation in the Middle East, studying the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the practice of reporting from conflict.

Derby added the commercial and design side of publishing: how a media product is built, branded, funded and grown, not only how a story is written.

Study exchange

Reichman broadened my perspective on how technology, government and persuasion shape public life.

I studied Government and AI, generative AI from strategy to application, propaganda and the marketing of messages, and terrorism and counter-terrorism innovation.

I came out able to work with AI tools and with a clearer understanding of how terrorism operates and how states respond to it. Alongside that I studied business entrepreneurship, brand management and customer experience, and leadership in organisations, which gave me the commercial thinking behind building a product and a brand.
